Yea, I'm aware it's a dirt jump bike. I was just pointing out why he hinted that he was using that gearing. I can't see any other use for it.

Dan Atherton does in fact use a front brake for 4X. You cant be competitive in 4X without one. You'd overshoot corners and would skid with little to no control.
